This is a very nice and classy place to dine! It always requires a reservation so be warned! Reservations required early especially around Christmas and holidays. They do host a lot of wedding receptions here also so the parking can be challenging. I suggest using the valet during the crowds. Now the food is very high quality and very delicious. I suggest the prime rib here most definitely their specialty. It's very good! Always add a couple sides of potatoes and cream corn, my suggestions. Save room for the specialty desserts. Always a few chocolate choices and my favorite is the cheesecake. Now one thing I was upset about was we split our ticket in half with another couple and were charged for a dish that was never brought to our table. We had already been charged when we asked our waiter to please correct. He did or so we thought. The next day both us and the other couple discovered the first charge was never credited and we were double charged! Really!! So it took a call to the restaurant to correct and days later before it settled. No sorry or any apology. My rating is 4 stars

When the waitress makes the meal and experience an unforgettable one. We had Daisy as a waitress for last nights dinner while celebrating two birthdays. She was just perfect in so many ways and our whole party loved her. Just so friendly and down to earth along with impeccable service. She literally made our meal and celebration so nice that we all want to go back again and hope she's our waitress again! Food was good and many of us prefer it over Lawry's Prime Rib. Comes with a side of cream corn so you don't have to chose between the spinach and the corn lol~ Lovely atmosphere and decent prices for what you get. Thank you Daisy!!!

Came here last Saturday to celebrate a birthday. We were greeted right away and taken to our seats. I have to talk about the service first because it was top notch. Jacob was the gracious and took care of our table from beginning to end. Let's talk about the escargot first. Wow, it was such a classy feeling and so flavorful with a piece of their house bread. I'm not a meat eater so I opted for the John Dory. Oh it was so delectable and I would get it again. I know everyone who had the prime rib raved about it including my son, who is so critical at what he eats sometimes from any establishment. He even asked to come back again. The ambience was beautiful. I can see why people get married here. That says enough. Thank you Summit House for a great 5 star experience.

Came here for dinner on a Wednesday night for the first time, and overall it was a good experience! There was plenty of parking so we opted not to do valet. I liked the classic ambiance of the place, and our server was very accommodating. They have a prime rib special on Wednesdays, so that's what we all got. The prime rib was cooked really well; however I felt that the sides could be better. The au jus was much too salty for me, and the creamed spinach was too creamy and bland for my liking. I'm not a fan of Yorkshire pudding in general, so I should've asked to substitute it with something else. The creamed corn was also a little too creamy/runny for me. The views were nice! Overall, I'd come here again.

we came with a large group on a saturday night. definitely need a reservation! the restaurant is huge with lots of decor to create an old fine dining restaurant vibe. service was amazing, definitely worthy of the price. cocktails started off great. old fashioned is a must. the house salad was good, no complaints. i got a filet, which was a solid filet. the sides were the best parts of the entree honestly (creamed corn, mac n cheese, brussels, and potatoes were all amazing!!). for dessert we wrapped it up with a bread pudding, and warning its HUGE but quite good. overall, i wanted the food to be a little better for the price point. if you enjoy a steakhouse, this is probably the place for you.

I came for a birthday dinner and the place was fancy so make sure to dress up nicely. I tried the lychee mojito, truffle fries, bone marrow mac n cheese and the summit house cut steak. All the food was good, but the steak was a bit overcooked for mine when I asked for medium. Overall, the food and service was great.

It's been since 2005, literally, since I have been here. It's the same but different. Same service and food. Different prices of course

Service food and ambience 5/5. Favorite place for prime rib. Set on a hilltop you have a great view for date night. You won't be disappointed. Old English garden aesthetic. The staff is also great with helping accommodate large groups. Great for dinner and small or large events. One of our favorite places!

It has been a goal of mine to stop by the Summit House when I was attending Cal State Fullerton, and now I have finally tried this fantastic steakhouse. With an amazing view, upscale ambiance, and service, the Summit House was well worth my visit, and I would most definitely return in the future. We started our meal with the Summit House Salad. I would totally get this again, and the Black Mustard Seed Vinaigrette was amazing! It wasn't too tart like other vinaigrettes. Then, shortly, our seaside sampler came to the table, which came with crab cakes, chilled Mexican prawns, and ahi sashimi. The Ahi was very tender but had a bit of kick to it from the pepper crust. I don't usually enjoy crab cakes, but these were crispy and very good. When scoping out the menu, the Filet Mignon and John Dory looked tempting! This is the first time I've heard of a John Dory, but the waitress explained it in depth and told us the hype around the fish. But I went for their well-known prime rib, which was AMAZING; it was juicy and tender and hit the spot with the Au Jus sauce and mashed potatoes. I also tried a Yorkshire popover, which was interesting. Next time, I hope to dine out on their patio, though!

We had a great anniversary date at Summit House. I booked a reservation for two on a Thursday night and it wasn't that busy with plenty of parking. The whole experience went smoothly. We came in and got seated almost right away. I chose the outdoor seating area with a nice overlooking view of the city. The only downside is that there were a few bugs flying around the area, but it wasn't to the point where I couldn't enjoy myself. We also received great service from Noah, the drinks and food came out quickly and he made sure we got everything we needed. Prices were reasonable for the quality of food and service that you get. We started off with drinks. My partner ordered wine while I opted for their Lavender Lemon Drop cocktail, which was a little too sweet for my taste. We got the crab cakes for appetizer and it was delicious. For our entrees, we got the Prime rib and Filet Mignon. I liked the taste of the Prime rib better than the Filet Mignon but both were tender. I also enjoyed the cream corn that came with the Prime rib. We couldn't finish all the food because of how huge the Prime rib was. Lastly, we got a complimentary dessert for celebrating a special occasion. They gave us Profiteroles which was a nice way to end our meal. I really appreciated that gesture and it's one of the things that set a restaurant apart from others because of how well they treat their customers.
